We held our fourth STEM Electrathon Event at Mulberry High School on Saturday, December 2nd. We thank Sponsor Todd Thuma his team and Mulberry HS Administration for their support of our organization.
Teams arrived and got signed in and their cars inspected. The pits were busy with teams making last minute adjustments.
Our Race Steward Mike Ralph and Charlie met with everyone for the drivers/teams meeting.
We had seven cars line up for the first, one hour competition.
The teams/cars did well; Mulberry car 100 and Kirkland Ranch car 555 had some tire issues.
When the checkered flag dropped the standings were:

1st Place Kirkland Ranch car 555 with 99 laps
2nd Place Mulberry car 38 with 98 laps
3rd Place Mulberry car 100 with 57 laps
4th Place Plant City car 83 with 46 laps

Between races the teams made adjustments to their cars, Mulberry High School even did some welding on one of their cars.
We had seven cars line up for the second race of the day.
Florida State College at Jacksonville completed their first lap, proceeded into turn one and had a front tire rim come apart, ending their day of racing.
Pro EV car 39 completed their 88th lap, went into turn one, had to avoid other cars and wound up hitting the curb causing damage to the front wheel, ending their race day.

Plant City car 83 had tire and battery issues that ended their race day after their 53rd lap.
Kirkland Ranch HS car 555 was leading the pack of racers with Tiger Racing car 4 right behind them. The last minutes of the racing, Tiger car 4 made a quick inside pass of Kirkland Ranch car 555 to finish the race with both teams having 113 laps. It came down to their race time to decide the final results. Tiger car 4 completed the race in 1.00.22 and Kirkland Ranch car 555 completed the race in 1.00.25.
